What this workflow does

• Runs on a weekly schedule to keep SEO/AEO changes continuous and measurable.
• Loads configuration such as your site URL/domain, GitHub repository details (owner/repo/base branch), and your notification email.
• Finds the latest base branch state by retrieving the latest commit SHA for the base GitHub branch.
• Reads prior run history from an n8n Data Table to avoid repeating previously suggested changes and to continue “next focus” priorities.
• Uses an OpenAI agent to pull GSC query/page analytics, research keywords and competitors (via web lookups and live page fetches), and decide which additive on-page SEO/AEO improvements are appropriate.
• Creates a new GitHub branch + pull request when changes are needed, updating repository files such as index.html metadata/structured data and optionally robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt.
• Saves run results (generated report, PR URL, and next-run priorities) to the Data Table, converts the report from Markdown to HTML, and emails it using Gmail.
