This n8n workflow checks your YouTube channel every 30 minutes, syncs each video’s privacy status to a Google Sheets tracking sheet, and sends Slack notifications when a video is private (needs setup) or public (ready to promote).

What this workflow does

• Runs on a 30-minute schedule to monitor new and existing uploads.
• Uses the YouTube Data API (via Google OAuth) to find the authenticated channel’s uploads playlist and fetch the 10 most recent videos with snippet and status details.
• Detects newly uploaded videos by checking whether the video was published within the last 30 minutes.
• Routes based on YouTube privacy status:
  • If private: updates the matching Google Sheets row (by Video ID) and posts a Slack alert indicating it needs setup.
  • If public: updates the Google Sheets row (by Video ID) and posts a Slack alert indicating it’s ready to promote.
• For older videos, it looks up the stored Status in Google Sheets by Video ID and compares it to the latest YouTube privacy status.
• Notifies only on changes: if the status changed, it updates Google Sheets and sends the appropriate Slack notification; otherwise, it performs no action.
