This n8n workflow takes a YouTube URL (or video ID) through a webhook, pulls the transcript (or uses one you provide), and sends it to the OpenAI Chat Completions API to generate a full newsletter package plus repurposed content for X (Twitter) and LinkedIn—returned as both structured JSON and a rendered Markdown newsletter.

What this workflow does

• Receives a POST webhook with a JSON body containing url (or a direct video ID) and optionally a transcript.
• Extracts and validates the YouTube video ID from the URL to ensure it matches the expected format.
• Uses your transcript if provided; otherwise, fetches captions from youtubetranscript.com and parses them into plain text.
• Calls OpenAI Chat Completions with the transcript, requesting a strict-JSON newsletter package including: subject, preview, sections, takeaways, X thread content, LinkedIn post, and a CTA.
• Normalizes the output into consistent fields and generates a Markdown-formatted newsletter from the structured results.
• Responds to the original webhook with the full JSON payload (including the rendered newsletter).
